June Happiness

I completely forgot about this blog, to tell the truth. But Tyler and I still have our happiness board going! Here's what our June looked like:

Tyler took our 11-year old scouts on a campout. Don't worry, they cooked over a fire too! This was just one of the requirements :)
 Maternity Pictures!
We went to Strawberry Days and got their famous Strawberries and Cream. Grant loved it!
Happy Father's Day at Kneaders! Kneaders does free all-you can eat french toast. We loved getting together with family to celebrate!
Tyler had a reunion of a bunch of high school friends. Look at all the kids!
Family gathering at Tyler's house. We don't have many pictures of his dad :)
One of Tyler's best friends, Will, got engaged! He got to take their pictures.
Family trip to Pop'n'Sweets! We're going to miss this place if/when we move.
I had a booth at the farmer's market for a couple of weeks selling my shoes. It was fun!
Grant's First haircut. He didn't even notice. He was more focused on Curious George.
We went to Mary Poppins at the Scera theater. Tyler's old roommate was Burt. It was fun!
Only picture we have of our "annual" older siblings camp fire. Grant and Sierra kept running off together and were adorable!
Walker girl's night! I loved having all of the girls over for trying on wedding dresses, painting nails, and going to see Cinderella at the movie theater!

April/May Happiness

Looks like I'm posting about every other month now!

APRIL
Grant's first Easter egg hunt! He got excited about a few eggs, then was more interested in the swing.

General Conference in South Jordan

KENTUCKY TRIP!
We drove to Kentucky to visit my parents and see Thunder Over Louisville. Grant did great during the 24 hour car ride!

Thunder Over Louisville: Perfect weather! Grant loved the fireworks, which was a big relief!

Bernheim Forest Hike: Another spring tradition for the family!

Aquarium: probably Grant's (and Grandpa's) favorite part of the trip. He would run and point to each display of fish.

Back Home!

 Tyler's new vehicle :)

MAY
We forgot to take pictures this month of a lot of the things that we did. Hence, they are all from my cell phone.

Hungry Hungry Hippos with the family! There were four teams. One person was on the dolly, got pushed out to the center of the floor and tried to catch as many balloons as they could! The other people on the team got to push and pull.

Sadly, the best picture we have of people at Simon's sealing.

I started a small shoe business!

First family motorcycle ride! (ok, Grant didn't come. But he wants to!)

Temple trip

We went to a Savior of the World reunion. We got there a little bit early, so stopped by at a park to play! Grant got soaked!

Mexican food!

We discovered an awesome park in Salt Lake. It has multiple play places, ponds, sports areas, even a bird aviary and small carnival rides!

We hiked Ensign Peak. I had never done it! Perfect hike for a pregnant lady ;)

The kids I teach in Preschool Graduated!

Grant and I took a trip to the Timpanogos temple one Sunday morning.

We got Grant a toddler bed. I walked in one morning and found him like this, haha.

Not shown: Crepes with the girls for Mother's Day!

February/March Happiness

I just realized I forgot to do our February happiness post! Instead I just posted baby related pictures :) That's what everyone wants to see anyway! I'll play catch-up a little here.

Baby Walker #2!

Most of you have seen this facebook post that was recently published:

We actually meant to put it up months ago, but got so busy it got put on the back burner. Whoops! We found out in November. One day Tyler came home to this on our door:

I used a couple of the "what will your baby look like?" websites. Thought it turned out cute, but not at all what Grant looks like!

Baby Coming is Mid July!

Actually horrible timing, since we made it into the family cast of the Nauvoo pageant and it starts on my due date, but oh well! Totally worth it :)

We announced our pregnancy to our families when my family was in town for Thanksgiving. They came to see Savior of the World, which Tyler's family was in. After the show, we told them we wanted a family group picture. We gathered everyone together and pretended like we were taking a picture. In fact it was the following video:

I think it's funny that you can tell the message didn't get across to everyone. It has now though!

Well, for some reason I have REALLY been curious about the gender of this baby. Even more so than I was with Grant. I felt like it was a girl, but didn't want to say so because I felt I was biased. I really really wanted a girl next. We looked into finding out early, but weren't willing to pay the $50 that my obgyn charges for a 16 week gender check. Week 16 came and I couldn't stand it. I was going home that week for my brother's mission homecoming and I wanted to be able to tell everyone! We discovered a place that only charges $25, so...

We're having a Girl!!!

I'm ecstatic! I immediately made Tyler go out shopping with me for some baby girl outfits. We were only supposed to get one, but found some good deals and couldn't make decisions so we ended up with:

Anyhow. The pregnancy has been going well. I'm just starting to show. The annoying kind of show where it doesn't look like I'm pregnant, but looks like I'm a little pudgy. It's a stepping stone though! I've been more tired than I was with Grant, but that could just be a mental thing. I have an excuse to sit on the couch and watch Gilmore Girls and I've been taking advantage of it. My face has completely broken out. Guess that Chinese wives tale is true for me! I haven't been sick, which is a blessing.

Tyler and I are both really excited for the new addition to our family! Grant is going to be a great older brother. We already have him in training ;)

Our Winter Season (Picture overload!)

NOVEMBER!

Birthdays! We got a special invitation to Hyrum's party and were so happy that we could make it. Deanne celebrated a birthday at Savior of the World. She's standing on a chair, for anyone who is thinking she is abnormally tall. She looks beautiful!

Thanksgiving! Tyler and I hosted my family for Thanksgiving this year. My first time doing the entire dinner! It turned out well, thanks to everyone's help. Sadly, we didn't get many pictures during the time they were here. We love the one of my Dad with Grant though!

Grant went on his first bike ride! He loved it until he got too cold. We'll have to try it in a warmer season next time.

Tyler took pictures for Charity and Truman's family :) We then had a delicious dinner at Olive Garden! I'm so grateful for their friendship!

DECEMBER!
 We decorated Christmas trees...
Grant was always a star at Savior of the World, especially for the little girls. One brought in these turtles for him every night. He loved them!
Grant's first Santa Claus picture :)
Our first real Christmas tree! The lights worked when we first put them up, haha.

Grant got a doll, a ball, and puzzle from us for Christmas. We felt successful because he was more excited about and interested in his presents rather than just the wrapping paper! He rocks the doll and pats him on the back all the time. It's precious.

 Matching cousin pajamas!

We got to attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert! It was fun reminiscing when we were dancers in it a few years ago.

January

Savior of the World ended. It was sad to say goodbye to everyone, but I was ready for more family home time. We joined a group and got pizza one of the last nights!

Grant's first real sick day. He was very cute and cuddly the entire time. Have to say I enjoyed it.
Free zoo day!
